2017 Spring Recitals Sunday, April 9th

• Three Spring Recitals: 1:00pm, 4:00pm, and 7:00pm
• Spitfire Fiddle Band at the end of 7:00pm recital
• Reception after each recital, with snacks and beverages

Nissa's String Studio holds a total of seven recitals per year, three of them taking place in the Spring. Please join us this Sunday at 1:00pm, 4:00pm, or 7:00pm at the Antelope Park Church of the Brethren (3645 Sumner St). The Spitfire Fiddle Band will perform at the end of the 7:00pm recital.

Spitfire Fiddle Band to Perform for Good Life Halfsy Runners

Are you running the Good Life Halfsy this Sunday? Nissa's String Studio's Spitfire Fiddle Band will be right in front of what used to be our old location on Normal Boulevard (there's a Scooter's there now!), cheering on all the runners and playing some good ol' music. Free Workshop with Fiddle Instructor Josh Rector at Nebraska Folk and Roots Festival

Josh Rector, our alternative styles instructor, is teaching a FREE 30-minute workshop at the Nebraska Folk & Roots Festival this Saturday from 1:30pm to 2:00pm at Branched Oak Farm. He'll be covering the basics about active listening and improvisation, as well as providing commentary about what bands are looking for in a fiddle player.  Don't miss this opportunity to dive into a new chapter of your playing!
